Atlanta Falcons -3 +105
The Colts (8-6) are in Atlanta to face the Falcons (6-8) this afternoon, this line should tell you everything you need to know about what line makers think of the Colts. Let's look at the following facts; for the Colts they're 8-6 tied for the division lead in the AFC South, have won 5 of their last 6 games, and are getting back J. Taylor for this game. For the Falcons, they're 6-8, have lost 2 very straight (very winnable games), keep see sawing with their starting QB and HC A. Smith will probably lose his job at season end. But somehow, are favorites in this game. I don't want to overthink this game too much, the Colts should be favored in this game even on the road but aren't which probably means they will lose and not cover this number. This is what the NFL is.
Seattle Seahawks -3 -108
The Seahawks saved their playoff chances with a big home win over the Eagles on Monday night and now sit in the driver's seat with 3 very winnable games going forward over the next weeks. Today it's the Titans that are officially out of the playoffs with talk about D. Henry possibly playing his last games as a Titan, followed by a home game versus the Steelers and then on the road in Arizona. If the Seahawks win all 3 and finish at 10-7 their chances are very strong at making the playoffs. G. Smith returns behind center today which will obviously hell their offense. The Titans are in shambles right now, their offense in non existent and outside their miracle win over the Dolphins two week ago their other 4 wins are versus the Panthers, Falcons, Bengals and Chargers, nothing really impressive on that list. I like the Seahawks to keep their playoff chances alive win another win and cover today.
Detroit Lions -2.5 -108
We have a big game NFC North game between the Lions and Vikings today, a win for the Lions will clinch the division for the Lions while the win for the Vikings will keep their playoff chances alive along with a slim chance to still win the division with another game versus the Lions on deck in 2 weeks. J. Goff is coming off a 5 TD game last week and looks to build on that today, the one thing the Vikings do a lot of is blitz the quarterback and Goff has proven over the years that throwing against that isn't his strong point. However, I do believe that HC D. Campbell and offensive coordinator B. Johnson will put Goff in situations to succeed today. The Lions have too much talent at the skill positions and will give the Vikings fits all day, I like the Lions to cover the number.
