The Mariners and Twins play the rubber game of their three game series tonight when G. Kirby faces C. Paddock on the mound. Kirby has been lights out over his last over his last 4 starts allowing a total of 3 ER over 24 IP with the under going 2-1-1. The Mariners offense hasn't been to kind to Kirby as they scored a total of 20 runs in his 7 starts this season. Paddock for the Twins has a 4.78 ERA on the season but when he pitches at Target Field he's a different pitcher where his ERA sits a 1.02 and not one of his 3 home starts has produced more than 7 runs scored total. We also have D. Rackley behind the plate calling balls and strikes and the games games he's called in the American League have all resulted in unders with an average score of 3.7 runs per game. I like the under here.  

St Louis Cardinals -139

The Cards look to salvage a game in this three game series this afternoon, when S. Gray faces J. Quintana. Gray has been one of the lone bright spots for the Cards this season, expectations were high for the Cards as the added veteran starters like Gray, Gibson and the return of L. Lynn. However, the issue for the Cards has been a lack of offense to this point. Luckily for the Cards, Gray has been spot on with a 0.89 ERA and they haven't needed to score a lot of runs to win games. Quintana for the Mets hasn't been good on the road this season with a 8.19 ERA in 4 starts. I like the Cards to win the finale of this series this afternoon.

Pittsburgh Pirates -1.5 +155

The Pirates had their winning streak snapped last night as their offense didn't show up in a 9-0 loss to the Angels. This afternoon veteran lefty M. Perez takes on J. Soriano to get back on the winning track, Perez has pitched very well for the Buccos as his ERA sits at 3.15 and provided them with 3 quality starts on the season. Soriano hasn't pitched poorly for the Angels but isn't getting any offensive support, the Angels have scored a total of 13 runs in his 5 starts getting 11 of those 13 coming in 2 of his starts which the Angels lost. The Angels have lost 4 of his 5 starts with 3 of those losses by multiple runs, I expect this afternoon to be the same result; a loss for Soriano and the Angels by multiple runs.
