Today is the rubber game of this three game series between the Giants and Mariners, it will be R. Ray versus B. Woo on the mound. Another strong performance from B. Snell yesterday allowed the Giants to even up this series at a game apiece. Success for Ray has been hit or miss this season as he's either pitched well or hasn't in his starts, leading to a 4.88 over 6 starts. Woo has been good all season as his ERA is 2.12 but has been even better at home with an ERA 1.54 where he hasn't lost a game in 6 starts. Only once in a home start has Woo given up more than 2 ER in a game, and I expect that streak to continue versus an average at best Giants lineup. The Mariners isn't clicking on all cylinders right now but with the way Woo performs at home 4 runs will get the runline win here.

Detroit Tigers -1.5 +112 & Detroit Tigers/Chicago White Sox O9 -110

The Tigers and White Sox play G3 of this four game series this afternoon as the Tigers look to win their third straight game. The first two games of this series have been status quo for the White Sox with losses in which they were outclassed by scores of 5-2 & 13-4. Today it will be B. Brieske versus J. Cannon on the mound, with Brieske the Tigers will be going with a bullpen game as he hasn't pitched more than 3 innings in a game this season. He's been very effective in August with a 1.69 over 10 2/3 IP. Cannon has suffered the same fate of many White Sox pitchers this season which is a lot of bad losses due to the lack of talent on this roster. The White Sox have lost 11 of his 16 starts this season with 8 by multiple runs as his ERA is 4.26, many of this wins were early on in the season as the Sox have only won one of his last 8 starts. Cannon made a start versus the Tigers earlier this season and he didn't make it past the 1st inning allowing 8 runs (5 earned) in a 11-2 loss. Expect more of the same for Cannon and the Sox as the Tigers take this game by multiple runs and it goes over the total.
