Val's Payday Parlay pays +1065

Well folks, today will be the last post for my Payday Parlay and hope all of you have enjoyed the writeups and profited from the plays here. As I've mentioned in the past, if you played all my picks individually there was profit that was made and hitting the parlay was extra juice as well. Maybe one day the Payday Parlay will be back on the SharpApp. Wishing you all the best for the NFL season starting next week and all your future plays!

Detroit Tigers -1.5 +152

The Tigers look to rebound from their lose last night when they send their ace and probable AL Cy Young winner T. Skubal to the mound to face N. Pivetta. The Tigers have won 4 straight Skubal starts, three of which have been by multiple runs as he's posted a 2.62 ERA. Pivetta has been the opposite of Skubal as his ERA over the month of August has been 6.14, however, the Red Sox have been able to win two of his starts as they've provided him with a ton of run support. There is no reason to believe that Skubal will not outpitch Pivetta here and that the Tigers offense will not be able to outscore the Red Sox by 2 runs or more. Tigers on the runline is the play here.

Chicago Cubs -1.5 +142 & Chicago Cubs/Washington Nationals O9 -110

The Cubs look to extend their win streak to 5 games today when they take on the Nats, it will be J. Assad on the mound versus DJ Herz. With their 4 game win streak the Cubs have revived the Wild Card chances as they now only sit 5 games behind the Braves for the final Wild Card spot. Their schedule is favorable going forward as they will faces plenty of them playing below .500. Their starter tonight Assad has been money is August with a 2.84 ERA and getting plenty of run support during his starts. Herz has also been pitching well for the Nats, however, wins have been very hard to come by as the Nats have failed to provide him run support. Even though Herz as been pitching well, the Cubs offense is just too hot right now as they've scored 6 runs or more in 8 of their last 9 games and I don't see that changing today. Cubs on the runline and over the total here.
