Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 3, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how Sharp EV, Inc. ("Sharp," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use our website (www.sharp.app), our mobile applications, and related services (collectively, the "Services"). Sharp is a sports-betting intelligence service that provides betting tools and content; it is not a sportsbook and does not accept real-money wagers. By using the Services, you agree to this Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
1. Information We Collect
Information you provide directly
We collect information you give us when you register, set up an account, contact us, or otherwise use the Services, including:
- Account information — name, email address, username, password, and date of birth/age.
- Mobile phone number and SMS data — your phone number and consent preferences, where you opt in to receive text messages from us.
- Payment and financial information — when you make a purchase, payment is processed by our third-party payment processor (Stripe for web purchases; Apple or Google for app-store purchases). We do not store full payment card numbers on our own systems. We may retain limited transaction records (e.g., amount, date, last four digits) provided by the processor.
- Communications — information in messages you send us, including support requests and survey or contest responses.
Information collected automatically
When you use the Services, we and our service providers automatically collect:
- Device and identifiers — device IDs, IP address, browser and operating system, and similar identifiers.
- Usage and analytics data — pages and screens viewed, features used, time spent, and interactions with the Services.
- Location data — approximate location derived from your IP address and, on our mobile apps with your permission, your device's location. For a betting-related product, we use location to determine your state or region so we can show you relevant sportsbook odds and confirm eligibility. We store your state and country, not precise coordinates.
- Cookies and similar technologies — see Section 5.
2. How We Use Information
We use information to:
- Provide, operate, maintain, and improve the Services;
- Create and manage your account and verify your identity and eligibility (including age and, where applicable, location);
- Process transactions and send related information through our payment processor;
- Send you transactional messages and, where you have consented, marketing communications by email and SMS (you may opt out at any time — see Section 6);
- Personalize content and measure the performance of the Services;
- Detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, security, and technical issues; and
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.
3. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information for money. We share information with:
- Service providers — vendors that perform services for us, such as payment processing (Stripe; RevenueCat for subscription management), hosting and infrastructure (DigitalOcean), email and push delivery (OneSignal, SendGrid, Mailgun), customer support (Crisp), product analytics (Mixpanel), and mobile attribution (AppsFlyer).
- Analytics and advertising partners — third parties such as Google Analytics, Meta, TikTok, and AppsFlyer that help us understand usage and measure or deliver advertising. See Sections 5 and 7.
- Legal and safety — when required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Sharp, our users, or others.
- Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets.
Some state privacy laws treat the use of third-party advertising and analytics cookies as a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information for targeted advertising, even when no money changes hands. Where that applies, you can opt out as described in Section 7 and through our cookie consent banner.
4. Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Services. After that, we keep information for a reasonable period to comply with our legal, tax, accounting, and dispute-resolution obligations, to enforce our agreements, and to prevent fraud, after which we delete or de-identify it.
5. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
We and our partners use cookies, SDKs, pixels, and similar technologies to operate the Services, remember your preferences, analyze usage, and support measurement and advertising. Some of these technologies are operated by third parties (such as analytics and advertising providers), and information collected through them may be linked to your device or identity. Non-essential cookies and tracking load only after you accept them through our consent banner. For a detailed description of the specific tools we use and your choices, see our Cookie Policy. You can also manage cookies through your browser or device settings. Where required, we honor recognized browser opt-out signals, such as Global Privacy Control (GPC).
6. Your Communication Choices (Email and SMS)
Email. You may opt out of marketing emails using the unsubscribe link in any such email. We may still send you non-marketing, transactional messages about your account.
SMS / text messages. Where you opt in, we may send text messages related to your account and, with consent, marketing. Message frequency varies and message and data rates may apply. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP, and reply HELP for help. See our SMS Terms for details.
7. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, and to opt out of certain processing such as targeted advertising or the "sale"/"sharing" of personal information. This includes residents of California (under the CCPA/CPRA) and other states with comprehensive privacy laws. To exercise any right, contact us at [email protected]. We will verify and respond within the time required by applicable law (generally within 45 days), and we will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
California residents may request the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected, the sources of that information, the purposes for collecting it, and the categories of third parties with whom we share it, and may exercise the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information and to limit the use of sensitive personal information by contacting us at the address above or using our cookie consent banner.
8. Security
We maintain administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information. Sensitive data such as payment information is transmitted to our payment processor over encrypted connections. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Children's Privacy
The Services are intended only for adults aged 21 and over and are not directed to anyone under 21. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 21. If you believe someone under 21 has provided us information, contact us at [email protected] and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
10. Third-Party Links and Services
The Services may link to or integrate third-party websites and services. We are not responsible for their privacy practices, and this Policy does not apply to them. Review their policies before providing information.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version with a revised effective date and, where required, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
