The Jays and Nats play the rubber game of their 3 game series this afternoon when A. Manoah and M. Gore square off on the mound. Manoah's struggles over the last couple of seasons have been fully documented and has been a glaring issue for he and the Jays. I'm convinced if the Jays could have felt they would have received somewhat fair value for his talent, he would have been traded already. He's pitched so poorly that no other team is willing to sacrifice any level of talent for him. Last season he was 3-9 and a 5.87 ERA and was removed from the starting five on two different occasions before the Jays removed his from the roster all together. The 2024 season in the minors hasn't been any better, in 5 starts he pitched a total of only 19 2/3 IP with a 8.69 ERA and a 1.98, there is only one word to describe those numbers and its "yack". Gore for the Nats has pitched very well, and has provided with an opportunity to win every one of his starts never allowing more than 3 runs in a start. I understand that the Nats do not have the best offense but Manoah will provide them with plenty of opportunities to score as he allows way too many baserunners, I like the Nats on the run line and over the total. 

Seattle Mariners +119

The Mariners rebounded nicely behind L. Gilbert yesterday as he pitched a gem, going 8 shutout innings in a Mariners 5-0. I feel we have a big pitcher discrepancy on the mound this afternoon when B. Miller faces H. Brown on the mound. Miller has practically been untouchable over his last 5 starts giving up only 4 ER in 30 1/3 IP sporting a 1.18 ERA. Brown has been pretty much a BP pitcher all season with a 9.78 ERA and the Astros losing 5 of his 6 starts. He's never made it past the 6th inning in any one of his starts and have given up 3 ER or more in 4 of his 6 starts. The Mariners will be able to take advantage of him today and will leave Houston winning two of their 3 games.
