Los Angeles Angels +128

The Angels look to make is 2 straight versus the Guardians tonight R. Detmers faces B. Lively on the mound, the Angels took the opener 6-0 last night. The Angels offense will be hard pressed to score runs going forward with M. Trout on the IL with a knee issue, however, that could be negated with the way Detmers has pitched on the road this season. His road ERA is 1.08 and he has shutdown some impressive offensive teams in the Red Sox and Orioles. Lively will only be making his 4th starts of the season as he was added to the rotation due to the injury to S. Bieber, he has pitched well to this point with a 2.30 ERA but you have to figure there will be regression for him as he's pitching was above his career splits. I wouldn't expect a high scoring game here as the Angels are missing Trout but I do believe Detmers will shutdown this Guardians lineup, I like the Angels as a dog here.

Seattle Mariners +124

A bullpen collapse in the 7th inning caused the Mariners to lose G1 of this series, up 3-1 going to the bottom of the 7th a combination of three relivers game up 4 runs which resulted in a 5-3 loss ruining a great start for G, Kirby. Today we will have two really good pitchers on the mound in L. Gilbert and F. Valdez, Gilbert has been great this season with a 2.02 ERA and has only given up 4 ER over his last 4 starts. Valdez will be making his 5th start of the season and outside of a very good start versus the offensively challenged Blue Jays, he been very hittable, his ERA in those other 3 starts is 9.00. Getting the Mariners at plus money with the way that both these pitchers are throwing right now is a gift. I will back the underdog Mariners here.

Oakland A's -118

Well folks, the world could be coming to an end soon as we've reached the point were the A's are starting to be favorites in games! After years of futility and losing 100 games has been the norm, the A's sit at 16-17 and have won 5 straight games. This afternoon, they send their best starter to the mound in P. Blackburn to face T. Rogers of the Marlins. The A's have won all 3 of Blackburn's home starts and that was made possible because of his home ERA of 1.42. Rogers has not pitched well and has been unlucky at the same time, his ERA is somewhat respectable even though elevated at 4.31, and has been unlucky in the fact that the Marlins have provided him with only 5 runs scored in his last 5 starts, resulting in the Marlins losing everyone of his 6 starts this season. The A's shouldn't have to score a ton of runs to get the job done with the way things are going for Rogers and the Marlins offense, I like the A's to make it 6 straight.
