We hit our 6th straight play as P. Kipson cruised past C. Lestienne in straight sets this afternoon. We head back to the WTA for a play tomorrow morning.

American D. Collins faces Russian A. Pavlyuchenkova in one of the quarterfinal matches tomorrow morning at the Doha Open. Collins has been on one hell of a run at this tournament needing to go through qualifying to get to this point, meaning she has had to win 5 matches. Outside of her first qualifying match where she needed 3 sets to get a victory, she's won her next 4 matches with relative ease in straight sets. Pavlyuchenkova is having a decent start to her season, however, looking at her wins she really hasn't beaten anyone of substance this year. Her best win might have been today's versus #8 ranked M. Vondorusova, however, Vondrousova is only 2-3 on the season and isn't playing good tennis. Collins will be her toughest match to date and I don't like her chances for success. Collins is 3-0 in her career versus Pavlyuchenkova and I like that to get to 4-0 after tomorrow morning's match.
