Tough loss this morning as A. Muller came back from down 4-1 in the 2nd set to tie it up 4-4 but then got broken on serve to go down 5-4 and it was game over after that. All he needed to do was hold serve two more times and we would have been a winner.

It is a dark time for Canadian men's tennis at the moment, M. Roanic suffered injuries in 2020 and it's been down hill for him since. D. Shapovalov's 2023 season was hampered by injury and he still isn't 100% and his record and ranking have suffered. F. Auger Aliassime started the 2023 season ranked #6 on tour but dealt with a left knee ligament issue which affected his success and ranking which has fallen to #30. Even though Aliassime hasn't been at his best he was till able to reach the 3rd round of the Aussie Open before losing to finalist D. Medvedev. His opponent tomorrow A. Cazaux surprised many reaching the 4th round of the Aussie Open before losing to Poland's H. Hurkacz. Fellow Canadian D. Shapovalov looked more like his old self in a straight set win at this tournament yesterday and think Auger Aliassime will do the same tomorrow versus Cazaux. We're getting FAA at a discounted rate with this low line.
