The Avs are in Carolina to face the Canes tonight; this is the start of a 3 game road trip for the Avs as they visit the Caps and Stars later this week. These 2 teams meet up 5 days ago in Colorado with the Avs taking it 4-1. As good as the Avs are they’ve been vulnerable on the road this season at only 4-3. Add that to the fact that the Avs have had issues winning games in Carolina as they’re 3-8 in the last 11 meetings. I like the Canes to get revenge from their loss in Colorado last week and return the favor with a multiple goal victory.

The Caps are in St Louis to face the Blues tonight, the Blues travel home winners of 4 straight and went undefeated on their 3 game road trip. I do not like the spot for them tonight as they will be playing a B2B with travel and will also be playing their 3rd game in 4 nights. Add to that they're projected to start T. Greiss in goal and he hasn't been good at all this season at 0-3 with a 3.78 GAA and .899 save percentage. The line for this game says it all, the Caps are ravaged by injuries, have lost 7 of 10 and the line is even on the road versus the Blues winners of 4 straight. I will back the Caps here as this looks like a trap.

Winnipeg Jets -1.5 +123

The Jets host the Ducks tonight in Winnipeg. The Jets have won 4 of 5 and 7 of their last 10 games and are really playing well defensively. They've only allowed 3 or more goals in a game twice in their last 10 and that isn't good news for the Ducks as their 7th worst in goals per game in the NHL. On their end the Ducks give up way too many goals having surrendered 3 or more goals in 9 of their last 10. The Jets have won 6 straight on home ice versus the Ducks and I cannot see the result being any different the way both teams are currently playing. Jets will take this one by multiple goals.
