The O’s look to bounce back tonight from 3-2 defeat to the Guardians last night when C. Irvin faces L. Allen on the mound. Allen hasn’t been great this season with a 5.23 ERA, however, the Guardians have been able to win a majority of his games as they’ve scored plenty of runs for him. Irvin has put together a nice season for the O’s so far with 3.32 ERA overall and it’s even better at home at 2.97. The O’s have also provided Irvin with plenty of run support especially at home where every one of his home starts that was won by the O’s was by multiple runs. I like the O’s here to win a high scoring game by multiple runs.

Boston Red Sox -1.5 +167

The Red Sox look to extend the Blue Jays losing streak to 8 games tonight when B. Bello faces K. Gausman. Jays management may have no choice to blowup this nucleus of players at the deadline and they’ve proven over several years now that they don’t have what it takes to get to the next level. Last night was the perfect example of this team’s futility, entering the bottom of the 8th up 6-2, their bullpen gave up 4 runs and then another in the 9th to lose 7-6. This is a matchup from 6 days ago when Bello outpitched Gausman in a 7-3 win for the Red Sox in Toronto. The Jays offense isn’t in a good place during this streak scoring more than 3 runs in a only twice and don’t see them turning things around here versus Bello, give the Red Sox by two runs or more here.
