New York Rangers +110

The Rangers are in Jersey for an afternoon matchup versus the Devils. The current Devils don’t look like the team that was dominating the NHL earlier this season; they’ve lost 7 of their last 10 and will be fighting for a playoff spot if things continue going south. The Rangers on the other hand have been surging winning 7 of their last 10 and sit 1 point behind the Devils in the Metropolitan division. The Devils have been struggling on the defensive end giving up way too many goals of late; in their last 6 games they’ve surrendered 3 or more goals in 4 of them. I will back the Rangers as a small road dog.

Edmonton Oilers -1.5 +210

The Oilers host the Avs tonight in Edmonton; the Avs are reeling right now having lost 5 straight and even the return of N. MacKinnon hasn’t been able to wake up their sputtering offense. The Avs have only scored more than 2 goals in a game 4 times in their last 10. The Oilers are not the type of team you want to be visiting when you’re struggling offensively, with the likes of C. McDavid & L. Draisaitl, the Oilers can put 4-5 goals up on a nightly basis even versus the better defensive teams. The Oilers should be starting S. Skinner in goal as J.Campbell played last game which will be a plus for them, I don’t think the Avs can hang around in this one.

Detroit Red Wings/Toronto Maple Leafs O6.5 -113

The Red Wings are in Toronto to face the Leafs tonight. The Wings will be on a B2B after falling to the Panthers last night 3-2. The Wings are projected to start their 3rd string goalie in M. Hellberg and he isn’t as good as his 2.58 GAA indicates so regressing is coming for him and the Leafs are the type of team that can start it. The Leafs goaltenders are struggling at the moment also, the combination of A. Murray & I. Samsonov have given up 4 or more goals in 4 of their last 5 games indicating that the Wings should be able to get 2-3 goals tonight while the Leafs should be able to feast on Hellberg. I like to over here tonight.
