Val’s Big Payday Parlay January 26th 2023
Val
We go 0-2-1 last night, with the Rangers losing the lead late in the 3rd and go on to lose 19 seconds into OT, the Kings never had the lead once versus the Raptors and the Nuggets were able to push the +8 which was great considering Jokic and Murray where ruled out late in the afternoon and the line moved to +12.5.

Washington Capitals -122
The Caps host the Penguins tonight and unfortunately for the Pens, the return of their starting goalie T. Jarry didn’t last long. He returned from injury to play two games and then reinjured himself and should be back around mid-February. That means the Penguins have to go with C. DeSmith and that hasn’t been fruitful for them as he hasn’t played well that often when he’s started. In his last 5 starts alone he’s given up 3 or more goals in 4 of them. Plus the Penguins are a mediocre team at best on the road this season, I don’t see them going into DC and beating the Caps whom are a very decent home team. I like the small home favorite here.
Winnipeg Jets -.5 -114 (regulation)
The Sabres continue their road with game 3 of 4 in Winnipeg to face the Jets. The Sabres are undefeated so far and think this is where that ends. Like I mentioned in my write up when they faced the Stars, the Sabres need to score a lot on goals on a nightly basis as their goalies have not played well for a majority of the season so far. So whenever they play a team with a goalie the quality of C. Hellebuyck they already start behind the 8 ball. The Jets are as good as it gets as a home team in the NHL at 17-6 and have beaten the Sabres in 14 of their last 20 home games in the matchup. I will back the Jets in regulation here.
Phoenix Suns -125
The Suns host the Mavs tonight in Phoenix. The Suns are currently playing much better of late winning 4 straight after going through a very rough patch were they lost 9 of 10 games. That rough patch was mainly due to injuries and now that point guard C. Paul and forward C. Johnson have returned. they can see a light at the end of the tunnel. Once D. Ayton and D. Booker return the Suns will once again be a force in the Western Conference. The Suns have won 4 of their last 5 home games versus the Mavs and the one loss came on a night where the whole team was dreadful shooting the ball. The Mavs are not a good road team at 8-15 and cannot see them going into Phoenix and beating the Suns straight up.
