Val’s Big Payday Parlay January 19th 2023
Val
We go 2-1 last night and miss the parlay by a game again, what is even more frustrating is that we miss it by the biggest favorite in the Knicks in the parlay, they shit the bed versus the Wizards. Unfortunately, for us the B. Beal did end up playing even though he was reported as being out earlier in the day.

LA Kings -124
The Stars visit the Kings tonight in LA; the Stars will be on B2B where they’re 1-3 in that spot this season while it will also being their fourth game in 6 nights. The Stars are struggling at the moment having lost 3 of their last 4 games and projected to start backup S. Wedgewood, he’s really struggled of late losing his last 3 starts while giving up a total of 13 goals. The Kings on their end have won 4 of their last 6 games with their two losses against the red hot Devils and Bruins. This is the last Kings home game before heading out on a 6 game road trip, I expect them to leave LA on a positive note with a nice victory tonight.
New Jersey Devils -127
The Devils winners of five straight and the best road team in the NHL (18-2-1-0) end their 5 game road trip in Seattle tonight as they face the Kraken. The Kraken are as team that struggles on home ice as their goals per game drops off significantly, they average over 4 goals a game on the road and well under 3 goals a game at home. That will definitely be an issue tonight versus the Devils that have scored 4 goals or more in every game during this winning streak. I will back the Devils here as a road favorite as I like them to head back to Jersey with an unblemished record on this road trip.
Toronto Raptors -195
The Raptors are in Minnesota to take on the TWolves a team they have dominated over the years. The Raptors have won 8 of the last 10 meetings dating back to 2018 and also covered the spread in 7 of the 10 meetings. The Raptors have been playing better as of late winning 4 of 6 and that can be attributed to better performances from guards F. VanVleet and G. Trent, both had been struggling shooting the ball but both have found their stroke again and that has really helped the Raptors offense. The TWolves will be on a B2B after losing to the Nuggets 122-118 last night, TWolves Centre R. Gobert is questionable for tonight’s game and even if he plays this isn’t a good matchup for him as the Raptors are using P. Siakam at Centre. Gobert is a rim protector and struggles when the opposing Centres force him to defend outside the paint and that is exactly what Siakam will force him to do. I like the Raptors to continue their dominance of the TWolves tonight.
