New Jersey Devils -1.5 -127
The Devils start the beginning of their west coast road trip versus the lowly Ducks tonight in Anaheim. The Ducks have only won 3 of their last 10 games and when they lose a game, boy do they lose it. They have lost 6 of those 7 games by 3 goals or more, showing that they haven’t even been competitive. After a rough stretch the Devils are playing better of late winning 3 of 4 and have been road warriors all season with a 15-2-1 record. There is no need to overthink things here, the Devils are the much better team and should win this one running away.
Winnipeg Jets/Pittsburgh Penguins O6.5 -116
The Penguins host the Jets tonight in a game where I see a lot of goals. Since welcoming back N. Ehlers and B. Wheeler from injury the Jets have been flying offensively scoring over 4 in every game, however, their goaltending tandem of C. Hellebuyck and D. Rittich have found a way to give up 15 goals against in the same 4 games. The Penguins on their end have picked up the pace in their last 2 games scoring 4 and 5 goals respectively. Expect a higher scoring game between these 2 teams that have been lighting up the lamp of late.
Sacramento Kings -9.5 -106
The Rockets stayed in Sacramento and will play the Kings for the second time in three days. The misery continues for the Rockets whom have now lost 8 straight games and haven’t been competitive in many of them, they’ve lost 6 of the 8 games by 11 points or more. To compound the issue, they will be without their second leading scorer in K. Porter whom is out with a foot injury. The Rockets are 4-17 straight up on the road this season and haven’t been successful (1-5 ATS) versus the Kings recently. I expect the Kings to take care of business and cover the number tonight.
