Val’s Big Payday Parlay Jan 25th 2024
Val
We're going outside the box and adding a 4th game tonight to the parlay. Let's get it.
Val’s Big Payday Parlay, pays +2074
Philadelphia Flyers/Detroit Red Wings O6.5 -106
The Flyers are in Detroit to face the Red Wings tonight. With the chances that the C. Hart era being over in Philly with the issue that he's most probably part of the 5 players being charged in the sexual assault with the Canadian World Juniors, S. Ersson will be new #1 goalie in Philly. He will face A. Lyon as he's already been confirmed by Detroit, Lyon had his worst outing last game as he was pulled after giving up 5 goals in 2 periods versus the Stars. One might question if there will be regression in Lyon's game going forward as he's never played this well in the past. The same can be said for Ersson he's already started to regress giving up 4 goals in back to back games. The Flyers have played 4 straight overs as goaltending has been an issue. I like the over in this game.
NY Islanders -.5 +112 (regulation)
The Isles are in Montreal to face the Habs tonight. Islanders new HC P. Roy returns to the city where his career started close to 40 years ago. I'm sure he will have the Islanders motivated and ready to go as this is a game he will not want to lose. He's catching the Habs at a good time as the they're really struggling having lost 3 straight and getting beat handily in each game (each loss by 3 goals or more). Neither of the Habs 3 goalies (Allen, Primeau or Montembeault) have been able to stop the bleeding when called upon. The Habs beat the Isles in Long Island in December and I like the Isles to return the favor in regulation tonight.
NJ Devils +142 & NJ Devils/Carolina Hurricanes O6.5 even
After getting a huge road win over the Bruins last night, the Canes have to travel back home to take on another quality team in the Devils. We should see A. Raanta in goal with S. Martin getting the start last night, Raanta has been marginable at best this season with a 3.20 GAA and subpar .866 save percentage. the Devils are projected to star N. Daws and he hasn't been any better than Raanta with a 3.18 GAA. Even if the Devils would decide to go with Vanecek in goal instead, his GAA is 3.28. Any way you look at it, goals will be scored tonight. Now we take a look at the possibility of this being a let down spot for the Canes as they're off a huge road win versus possibly one of the best teams in the league and now face a good Devils team looking to carry over momentum off a big win for the defending Stanley Cup champs the Golden Knights. I like the Devils to surprise the Canes tonight.
