The Wild are really reeling right now having lost 6 of their last 7 games and their struggles are strongly correlated to the absence of their best offensive player K. Kaprizov. Since Kaprizov got injured Dec 30th, the Wild are 1-5 averaging only 1.67 goals scored per game. That won't get the job done against even the weakest teams in the league, and if you combine that with the subpar goaltending their getting, 4 goals allowed per game and you don't have to wonder why the L's keep accumulating. The Flyers have been playing better winning 2 of their last 3 after going through a 4 game skid. They will be able to take advantage of the struggle Wild to take this game by multiple goals.

Nashville Predators/Dallas Stars O6.5 -105

When you think Predators & Stars, you first inclination is always good goaltending which would result in a lot of their games going under the total. However, J. Saros hasn't played well this season with a 3.08 GAA and .899 save percentage and J. Oettinger is injured for the Stars and they've been going with S. Wedgewood in goal and he hasn't been spectacular with a 3.11 GAA and .895 save percentage. Both teams have gone over the total 7 times in their last 10 games. The Preds have scored 3+ plus in 6 straight games while the Stars have accomplished the same in 7 straight. Neither team is having issues putting the puck in the net of late and with lackluster goaltending we will get over the number tonight.

Utah Jazz -133

The Jazz host the Raptors tonight, this is the last leg of a long 6 game road trip that has been somewhat successful at 2-3 considering the Raps are an average team at best. The Raps will be minus starting Centre J. Poeltl and could also be missing P. Siakam for a second straight game with back spasms. These missing players really put the Raps at a disadvantage on the defensive end as they're forced to use a combination of T. Young and C. Boucher at Centre. Young is 35 years old with his best days behind him on the defensive end and Boucher has never been efficient on the defensive end and is one of the main reasons why he's lost significant playing time over the last 2 seasons. The Raps are a weak road team and the Jazz excel at winning games at home, I like the Jazz to send the Raps home 2-4 on this road trip.
