Penn St Nittany Lions -4 -106

Penn St host the Badgers tonight in a Big 10 matchup; neither team has had much success in conference as both are 5-7. If you’ve backed the Badgers ATS in their last 10 games you’ve lost a lot of cash as they’re 1-9. The Badgers also aren’t very good on the road this season as they have a losing record at 3-4. Penn St has at least been able to defend their home court winning 11 of 12 games and will have revenge on their mind as they lost to the Badgers on the road January 17th 63-60. Winning conference road games isn’t an easy task and I think this line is low enough were the Nittany Lions will cover the number versus a struggling team ATS.

Dallas Stars -153

The Stars host the Wild tonight in Dallas. Both teams will be playing their second game after the All Star break and both teams looked very lethargic in their first game.

The Wild lost to the Coyotes 3-2 while the Stars needed OT to beat the Ducks 3-2. The Stars are one of the strongest home teams in the NHL at 14-5-4-2 while the Wild have been ok at best at 12-10-2-1 on the road. Dallas has not been a friendly place for the Wild as they’ve lost 30 of the last 41 meetings there. Both teams are healthy as there aren’t any significant injuries on either side. I will back the home team Stars here.

New York Rangers -.5 -150 (regulation)

The Canucks are at MSG to face the Rangers tonight. The Rangers are coming off an OT win over the Flames 5-4 on Monday while the Canucks lost in OT to the Devils 5-4. The Rangers started their backup in J. Halak last game and will go back with I. Shesterkin tonight while the Canucks have confirmed their backup in S. Martin. Martin hasn’t been very good this season sporting a losing record at 11-13-1 with a GAA of 3.94 and save percentage of .875. Those type of numbers aren’t going to get any Canucks fans very excited. The Rangers are clearly the better team here and should take care of business in regulation.
