New York Islanders -124

The Isles are in Philly to face the Flyers tonight. The Islanders are on the outside looking in, in regards to the playoff picture. However, that didn’t stop GM L. Lamoriello from making a big splash and acquiring B. Horvat from the Canucks, Horvat will team up with M. Barzal to form quite a line pairing as both should flourish going forward. The Flyers have not played well of late at five-on-five and the Isles should be able to take advantage of that tonight and create themselves scoring opportunities. The Isles are 9-2 in the last 11 meetings between these two teams and I expect them to continue that dominance.

Tampa Bay Lightning -116

We have a battle of the state of Florida tonight between the Lightning and Panthers. The Panthers continue to disappoint on the season as they sit outside of the playoff picture and with little to no cap space in hand will not be able to add pieces at the upcoming trade deadline. We will have a goaltending matchup between A. Vasilevskiy and S. Bobrovsky as both are confirmed as the starters and the clear advantage is with Tampa there, Bobrovsky has given up 3 or more goals in 4 of his last 5 starts, the Panthers were able to win 3 of those 5 as they were able to outscore their opponents but I highly doubt they will have that kind of success versus probably the best goalie in the NHL. The Bolts have won the last 4 meetings in Florida and like them to make it 5 straight.

New Jersey Devils -.5 -145 (regulation)

The Canucks visit the Devils tonight in Jersey. The Canucks have a new coach in R. Tocchet, just traded away one of their top forwards in B. Horvat and you have to wonder if they will start trading away other pieces in order to officially start their rebuild. Even with Horvat in the lineup the Canucks were losing with regularity and you have to imagine that it will not get any better without him. The Devils continue to do their thing and win games and have dominated the Canucks at home having won 7 straight. I expect them to get things done within 60 minutes tonight.
