We hit a nice +1500 parlay yesterday with the Oregon spread and were so close to the +5000 parlay had Oregon been able to close the deal straight up!

Pittsburgh Penguins -1.5 +190

The Penguins host the Canes this afternoon. The Canes have been mediocre at best coming out of the All Star break going 2-4 in their 6 games. Fatigue might be a factor for them as they will be playing their 3rd game in 5 days. On their end the Penguins will be fully rested as they haven’t played since the 17th. The Penguins have been more or less unbeatable when having this much time off between games, so far this season they’re 6-1. The Canes are 6-13 in the last 19 meetings in Pittsburgh, so I expect the Penguins to take this one by 2 goals or more.

Minnesota Wild -109

The Wild visit the Oilers tonight in Edmonton. The Oilers are hot right now a winner of 5 straight and clearly their coaching change has had a positive effect on the team. But today is a really bad spot for them; they’re on 2 B2B and their 5th game in 7 days. Wow that is a really poor scheduling job by the NHL! Also with the fact that M. Koskinen was in goal yesterday, the chances are very good that M. Smith will be between the pipes for the Oilers, and you all know what I think of him! The Wild have totally dominated this matchup winning 16 of the last 21 meetings in Edmonton and with the Oilers being exhausted, the Wild are the easy play here.

Columbus Blue Jackets -1.5 +150

The Jackets host the Sabres tonight in a matchup of 2 teams outside of the playoff picture. This will be a tough spot for the Sabres as they will be on a B2B and 3rd game in 4 nights. The Jackets come into this on rested as they haven’t played in 2 days. The total is set at 6.5 for this game so your know Vegas is expecting a lot of goals here and that is another reason why I like the Jackets to cover. Add to that the Sabres are 1-5 in the 6 meetings in Columbus and you have the makings of a big Jackets win.
