The Panthers are in DC to face the Capitals tonight, The Caps continue to be without their Captain A. Ovechkin as he’s trying to get back to Russia as his father recently passed away. His absence is a major hit to the offense of the Caps as their still missing the quarterback on D in J. Carlson. The Panthers on their end are looking to bounce back from an embarrassing 6-2 to the Blues on Tuesday. The Panthers have had quite a bit of success versus the Caps having won four straight versus them and can see them taking advantage of the Caps especially that they’re missing their best forward and defenseman.
New Jersey Devils -144
The Devils are in St Louis to face the Blues tonight. The Devils continue to be the best team in the NHL on the road with an amazing 20-3-2-1 record and face a mediocre home team in the Blues. Even the injury to J. Hughes hasn’t slowed them down as they’ve 2 of the 3 games he’s missed. Yes the Blues come into this one having won two straight home games but that was versus the Coyotes and the Panthers that have issues winning on the road. Tonight is a totally different animal in the Devils, I like the Devils to get their 21st road win tonight.
Minnesota Timberwolves -140
The Timberwolves host the Wizards tonight in Minny. A. Edwards has really come into his own with the injury to KAT, proving that he’s ready to be the leader and number 1 player of a franchise; he’s been producing 30 point games with regularity and keeping the TWolves in the playoff race considering he hasn’t been getting great support from his supporting cast. The Wizards will be on the last leg of a three game road trip and can see them coming out flat tonight. The TWolves are a solid home team with their 20-12 and I will back them to get the job done on their home court.
