The Oilers are in Montreal to face the Habs; both teams are on a B2B and coming off victories yesterday afternoon. Habs surprised the Islanders in OT while the Oilers took care of business in Ottawa. There is a real talent discrepancy between these two lineups as the Oilers have C. McDavid & L. Draisaitl out there every night while the Habs counter with much lesser talent. With that being said it isn’t surprising that the Oilers have dominated the recent matchups, they’ve won 4 of the last 5 meetings overall and 11 of the last 15 meetings in Montreal. Expect more of the same today; I will back them in regulation.

Seattle Kraken -145

The Kraken are in Philly to face the Flyers this afternoon. The Flyers will be on a B2B as they lost to the Preds 2-1 in OT. The Flyers are projected to start F. Sandstrom in goal and that isn’t good news if you’re a Flyers fan as he’s 1-7-1 in his 9 starts. I understand that the Kraken haven’t looked great post All Star break, however, Sandstrom may just be the best remedy for that. Also the Flyers haven’t have much success on B2B this season at 2-7 and are even worse on Sundays have lost their last 5 games. All signs point to the Kraken snapping their losing streak.

Memphis Grizzlies +4 -106

The Celtics host the Grizzlies this afternoon in a matchup of two teams with title aspirations this season. The Celtics weren’t active at the trade deadline while the Grizzlies made a nice acquisition in L. Kennard to help their 3 point shooting which is an area they were weak in. The Celtics are dealing with injuries to key players in J. Brown & M. Smart which hasn’t affected them as of late as they’ve won 3 straight but 2 of those 3 wins were versus the lowly Hornets & Pistons. Missing two important players versus a team like the Grizzlies will be a lot tougher to deal with. I like the Grizzlies to keep this game close today and maybe even win straight up.
