The Magic are in Miami to face the Heat tonight. The Magic have picked up their game after going through a rough stretch (1-4) in mid-late January as they've won 4 of their last 5 with 2 wins versus quality teams in the Suns and T Wolves. The win versus the Wolves was even more impressive as it was on the road. The Heat just can't get anything going right now having lost 8 of their last 10 and many of those losses came against inferior teams like the Hawks, Raptors & Grizzlies. The 1-2 punch of P. Banchero and F. Wagner is really propelling the Magic to new heights, I like them as a road dog tonight.

Colorado Avalanche NJ Devils O6.5 -122

Two teams that play to the over more often than not meet in Jersey tonight when the Devils host the Avs. No rest for the weary coming out of the break for the Avs as they're on a B2B after losing a tough game to the Rangers last night. Expect to see backup and 3rd string goalie J. Annunen in goal for the Avs tonight, he will be only playing his 2nd game of the season, he did win his only start of the season but did give up 4 goals in the process, which is a good since for the Devils offense. The Devils are likely to start V. Vanecek in goal and he's been struggling all season with a 3.24 GAA, he also given up 8 goals over his last 2 starts. I see the Avs offense getting back on track after being stymied by J. Quick and the Rangers last night. I like the over here.

Montreal Canadiens/Washington Capitals O5.5 -116

The Habs start the 2nd half of their season with a visit to DC to face the Caps. Goaltending was a real issue for the Habs heading into the All Star break as they gave up 3+ goals in 8 of their 10 meetings. The Caps on their end had a brutal road trip right before the break losing all 4 of their games while being outscored 19-9. Caps starter C. Lindgren is staring to show signs of regression in his play and Habs starter S. Montembeault has a GAA of 3.10. The over is the play here.
