Two of the better teams in the NHL faceoff tonight when the Avs visit the Rangers. The Avs are projected to start A. Georgiev versus his former team while the Rangers are looking to counter with J. Quick (2.43 GAA). Quick has outperformed I. Shesterkin this season and is probably the better option at this point even though Shesterkin made it to the All Star weekend. The Avs are practically unbeatable at home, however, their play on the road has been marginable at 12-9-3 on the season. I like the Rangers with the last change on home ice to utilize matchups to win this game.

Toronto Maple Leafs -.5 +107 (regulation)

The Islanders and Maple Leafs start their second half of the season when they face each other in Toronto tonight. The Leafs had a bunch of representation at the All Star game this weekend but travel wasn't an issue for them as the festivities were held in Toronto. Two former teammates in I. Sorokin and I. Samsonov face off in goal as both have been confirmed as starters. Samsonov was red hot heading into the break and we hope that off time didn't ruin his groove. Sorokin has really struggled this season compared to seasons past. With the Leafs looking for a revenge win from their Jan 11th 4-3 loss to the Isles, I will back them in regulation.

Sacramento Kings +147

The Kings are on the last leg of a long 7 game road trip that has been super successful to this point at 5-1. Their opponent tonight the Cavs have been equally impressive of late winning 9 of their 10 games. Had D. Fox and D. Sabonis not been snubbed for the All Star Game, spots which they deserved considering how well they've played, this game could have been promoted as All Stars Fox & Sabonis versus All Star D. Mitchell, but that won't be the case. Both teams are fully healthy, so we should see an exciting game between two good teams. The Kings have dominated this matchup winning 8 of the last 10 meetings and feel the Kings have a little more scoring depth which will allow them to win this game straight up on the road.
