The Twins try to avoid being swept by the Padres tonight when they send S. Woods Richardson to the mound versus the knuckleballer M. Waldron. Woods Richardson continues to pitch well for the Twins with a respectable 3.77 season ERA and gives them an opportunity to win every one of his starts. Waldron has been struggling of late as his knuckleball has been very hittable in 3 of his last 4 starts, with a 8.24 ERA, the Padres were still able to win 3 of those games as they came versus the Rockies and Marlins. They will not have that type of leeway versus a much better team like the Twins. I like the Twins to avoid being swept versus a starter in Waldron that is struggling mightily and is only beating basement level MLB teams right now.   

TB Rays -1.5 +132 & TB Rays/Oakland A's U7.5 -115

Tonight is the rubber game of this three game series between the Rays and A's as R. Pepiot faces M. Spence on the mound. Pepiot has been a beast on the mound in July and August with a 1.29 ERA over 4 starts and the Rays winning 3 of them. He beat some quality teams in the DBacks, Yankees and Guardians. Spence hasn't been nearly as good with a July ERA of 4.78 and so far in August it is 5.79, the A's have been able to win 4 of his 8 starts in those months but 3 came versus the lowly Angels. This series has been really low scoring as the G1 finished 3-0 and last night ended 1-0. I expect another low scoring game here as I do not see the A's doing much versus Pepiot and the Rays offense isn't scaring many opposing pitchers either. I like the Rays in low scoring game but still winning by multiple runs.
