The Jays are in Chicago for a weekend series with the Cubs, the Jays send Y. Rodriguez to the mound to face K. Hendricks. Rodriguez has been progressively better since he was added to the rotation, through July and August his ERA is 2.43, however, the Jays had issues winning his starts as their offense was anemic. However, with the infusion of youth (Horwitz, Wagner & Jimenez) added to the starting nine the Jays have looked much offensively of late winning 5 of their last 7 games. After a four game winning streak, the Cubs have lost three straight and haven't looked good in the process as their offense was non existent over their last 2 games scoring a combined 2 runs. The Jays are out of contention and are playing better as there is no pressure to perform, I like the underdog Jays here.  

Minnesota Twins +111 & Minnesota Twins/Texas Rangers O8.5 +102

The Twins look to take G2 of this four game series tonight versus the Rangers after taking the opener last night by a score of 3-2. It will be S. Woods Richardson versus left A. Heaney on the mound. Woods Richardson has pitched well overall on the season but his performance has slowed down of late posting an ERA above 4.50 in June and July and looks to be headed in that direction in August at it sits at 4.09 through 2 starts. Heaney can't seem to get any wins this season despite not pitching poorly, the Rangers have only been able to win 8 of his 24 starts this season. The Twins rank 4th overall in the MLB with a .262 average versus lefthanded pitchers and I like them to have success versus Heaney and the Rangers winning this game as it goes over the total.
