The Mariners look to avoid being swept by the Tigers this afternoon when they send B. Miller to the mound to face A. Faedo. The Mariners offense has been abysmal in this series scoring a total of 3 runs over the first two games. This afternoon however, they face a Tigers team that will be going with a bullpen game, Faedo hasn't pitched more the 2 innings in any game this season and won't go longer than that today. After that the Mariners will get to face a Tigers bullpen with an ERA over 4.00 the rest of the way. The Mariners have won 3 of the last 4 Miller road starts all of which have been by 2 runs or more, 2 of those wins were versus good teams in the Padres and Guardians. I like the Mariners to avoid the sweep in a big way today.  

Baltimore Orioles -1.5 +157 & Boston Red Sox/Baltimore Orioles O8.5 -105

The Red Sox are in Baltimore to face the O's for a 4 game weekend series between AL East division rivals, it will be N. Pivetta versus Z. Eflin on the mound. Eflin has been very good for the O's since he was acquired at the deadline winning all 3 of his starts with a 2.33 ERA with all three wins coming by multiple runs. Pivetta has been serviceable since June for the Red Sox but not great with a 4.65 ERA, the Red Sox have been able to win his starts by providing him with great run support. The Red Sox have played nothing but high scoring games since the beginning of August with none of their 12 games producing less than 9 runs scored. The O's have enough talent in their lineup to score 4-5 runs on a nightly basis. I like the O's by multiple runs and over the total here tonight.
