After winning their 5th straight game and sweeping the Red Sox the Astros head to Tampa to close their 9 game road trip with a three game series with the Rays. It will be F. Valdez versus T. Bradley on the mound, Valdez will be making his first start since coming one out away from no hitting the Texas Rangers in a 4-2 win. The Astros have been rolling with Valdez on the mound winning 8 straight Valdez starts all of which have been by 2 runs or more, they've also provided him with tremendous run support scoring 4 plus runs in every one of those 8 games. For the Rays, Bradley was red hot during most of July but has hit a bit of a wall over the last week and a half, over his last two starts he's been hit around to the tune of 9 ER over 9 2/3 IP both resulting in losses. I expect Bradley's struggles to continue versus the red hot Astros with the Astros winning by multiple runs and this game going over the total.   

Texas Rangers/Boston Red Sox O9 -115

The Rangers are in Boston to face the Red Sox in a three game series, both sides are struggling here as the Rangers have lost 4 of 5 while the Red Sox have lost 4 straight. These two teams played a series in Texas ten days ago which resulted in three high scoring games where the lowest amount of runs scored was 9. It will be T. Mahle on the mound versus B. Bello, Bello made 6 starts in July with 5 of them going over the posted total, he didn't pitch well in his first August start allowing 3 ER in 4 2/3 IP in another game that went over the total totaling 11 runs. Mahle will only be making his 2nd start of the season as he was on the IL till August, he pitched well in his first start versus the Astros but I expect him to regress towards his career numbers which is an ERA over 4.00 as he hasn't been able to stay consistent over his career. I like the over here.
