After salvaging a game in the Yankees, the Twins start an even bigger series with the division leading Guardians tonight. It will be a matchup of two really hot pitchers right now between C. Quantrill and D. Bundy. Bundy has been solid at home this season with the Twins winning 67% of his home starts while he’s posted an ERA of 2.80, for the Guardians as great as Quantrill has pitched this season they’ve only won 45% of his road starts. The play is on the Twins run line maybe due to the anemic offense of the Guardians.

Pittsburgh Pirates +176

The Pirates host the division leading Cardinals for a 3 game weekend series, the Cards send M. Mikolas to the mound to face R. Contreras. The Pirates have not been playing well as of late, as they were swept by the Blue Jays last weekend and then followed that up by losing 2 of 3 to the Mets. Things don’t get easier for them tonight with the Cards, however, Mikolas has been an average pitcher on the road this season as the Cards are 7-8 in this 15 road starts and his ERA is close to 4.50. I will take a stab with the Pirates at a big price versus a pitcher who struggles to pitch well on the road.

Atlanta Braves/Seattle Mariners O7 -118

The Braves head into Seattle having cut the Mets division lead down to .5 game with a game in hand. Tonight we have C. Morton facing R. Ray, Ray has been great of late, and however, the majority of that success was versus teams (Cle, Wash, & LAA) that struggle offensively. Tonight he faces one of the best hitting teams in baseball versus left-handed pitching. For the Braves, Morton has not been able to get it done on the road; his ERA is 5.24 and has given up no less than 4 earned runs in his last 3 road starts. I expect there to be fireworks in Seattle between both teams.
