Kansas City Royals +172
The Guardians snapped their 5 game losing streak last night with a win over the Royals in extra innings 6-5. Tonight it will be S. Bieber versus K. Bubic. The Guardians offense has been abysmal as of late and that isn’t surprising considering the lack of stars in their lineup. If not for their pitching staff they could easily be out of the playoff picture, with that being said their pitchers do not have much leeway when on the mound. The way the offense is going right now they shouldn’t be this big of a favorite on the road. I will back the Royals to surprise the Guardians tonight.
Minnesota Twins +166
The Twins look to even this series at 1 game apiece after dropping the opener 5-2 yesterday afternoon. The Twins send J. Ryan to the mound to face G. Cole; in his last 7 starts Ryan has been hit or miss, he either pitches really well or gets lite up. Cole has pitched ok in his last 7 starts but not what we expect or are accustomed to from him either. Like the Guardians, the Yankees offense hasn’t been good as of late and again this line is way too high for a team that is struggling to score runs. I will back the Twins as a big road dog.
Toronto Blue Jays -1.5 +152
The Jays looks to continue their winning streak tonight versus the Orioles, they swept the Pirates over the weekend and took both games of a doubleheader with the O’s yesterday. The Jays currently hold a Wild Card spot, however, the AL East is still a possibility if they continue playing the way they are now. The Jays send M. White to the mound versus K. Bradish; White hasn’t been great in his last 2 starts putting the Jays behind the 8 ball early, the Jays will not hesitate to pull him tonight if need be early as their bullpen has been really solid as of late. Bradish is really pitching well in the last month, however, the Jays have given him problems all season, this will be his 4th start versus them and he’s given up 11 earned runs in 14 1/3 innings. I will back the Jays to win by multiple runs and extend their winning streak.
