The Marlins are in DC to face the Nationals over the weekend, it will be J. Luzardo versus J. Gray on the mound tonight. Outside of Luzardo’s last start versus the Mets, he’s pitched well since coming off the IL. If not for the Marlins last of run support his W/L record would be much better. For the Nat’s, J. Gray has not been great since they acquired him from the Dodgers in the T. Turner/M. Scherzer trade from last season. He has an ERA over 5.00 and it’s been even worse over the last month and a half at 6.75. Yes, the Marlins offense isn’t great but Gray is the type of pitcher that will allow even them to score several runs tonight.

Philadelphia Phillies/Atlanta Braves O7.5 -118

The Phils and Braves go at this weekend in Atlanta, it will be R. Suarez versus M. Fried on the mound for tonight’s game. I understand that Suarez and Fried have pitched well all season, but these lineups are two of the top hitting lineups versus lefthanded pitching. Fried will be making his 3rd start versus the Phils and both previous games went over the total scoring 11 and 10 runs. Suarez will be making his 4th starts versus the Braves and the over is 2-1, in the one game that went under the Braves hit Suarez hard as he gave up 4 runs in 6 innings, but it was the Phils who didn’t co-operate in scoring runs however, it was also versus a righthanded starter. With it being both lefties on the mound tonight I like the over.

Seattle Mariners -1.5 +107

The Mariners are in Anaheim to face the Angels, the Mariners send their ace in R. Ray to face M. Lorenzen. Ray has dominated the Angels in his 3 starts this season, here is his stat line 20 IP 4 ER 30 SO, it’s needless to say that the Angels have struggled to hit him and that should continue tonight. Lorenzen will only be making his 2nd start since coming off the IL and this will be his 3rd start of the season versus the Mariners, he and the Angels lost both. I like the Mariners by multiple runs here.

Minnesota Twins +125

The Twins face the Guardians tonight in Cleveland for the start of 5 games in 4 days. The Twins have won 3 in row but still sit 7.5 out of a Wild Card spot. With only 20 games remaining their only real chance at the playoffs would be taking the AL Central where they’re only 4 behind the Guardians. Therefore, this is a critical series for them, were realistically they must win at a minimum 3 of the 5.It will be B. Ober versus T. McKenzie on the mound; Ober hasn’t been great when he’s pitched but the Twins have provided with a ton of run support. The Twins are averaging over 5 runs scored in his starts, plus the Twins have roughed up McKenzie on a couple of occasions this season. With the success the Twins have had versus McKenzie I like them at plus money.
