Today is last day of the MLB season, for non-playoff teams these the only motivation on a day like today is personal achievements. Pitchers look to finish the season on a high note as there is no other starts after today and batters want to finish the season with a good feeling. The Twins look like they’ve packed their bags for the off season a while ago as they’ve lost 4 straight and haven’t scored more than 3 runs in any of those losses. The Sox send D. Martin to the mound and he’s been serviceable since being added back to their rotation in early August. The Twins counter with L. Varland and the Twins have lost all 4 of his starts since being added to the rotation, I expect that to continue today and the Sox to win by multiple runs.

My Zona pick didn’t look good at all last night, unfortunately I knew from the get go that the chances of winning our play was slim to none. Z. Gallen was struggling to throw strikes and wasn’t sharp compared to how he’d been for most of the season. The DBacks strike out a lot as proof with their 10 last night, today it doesn’t get any easier as they face C. Burnes whom averages almost 11K/9 innings pitched. The DBacks counter will M. Kelly and he hasn’t pitched well lately giving up 3 or more ER in 6 of his last 8 starts. I like the Brewers to finish off the season with nice will for their fans.

Tampa Bay Rays +115

The Rays look to get back on the winning track before heading into the post season, the Rays have lost 4 straight and are 2-8 in their last 10. Not really the momentum you’re looking for heading into Cleveland to play the Guardians in a couple of days. Tonight they face a pitcher in N. Pivetta which they’ve dominated this season; the Rays are 3-0 versus him while scoring 21 runs in the process. The Rays to no one’s surprise will be going with a bullpen game to finish the season. I like the Rays to head into the post season with a win today.
