The Atlanta Hawks (3-1) visit the Detroit Pistons (1-4) in a rematch from 2 days ago when the Hawks were victorious 118-113. I think this has the makings of a look ahead spot for the Hawks as they have a big game versus the Bucks tomorrow in Milwaukee. Before Wednesday's victory the Hawks had no success versus the Pistons in Detroit losing their previous 4 games at Little Caesars Arena. I think the Hawks will take the Pistons lightly as they will be more worried about the Bucks tomorrow and like history to repeat itself with a Pistons home win.

Caroline Hurricanes -1.5 +142

The Islanders visit the Hurricanes tonight in Carolina. This will be the Hurricanes first game back from a successful 5 game west coast road trip. They will be rested for the game as they've had 3 days off to recover. The Isles come into this game of a shutout victory over the Rangers but had lost their previous 3 games before that. The Canes will be happy to back to some home cooking versus a team they've totally dominated over the last couple of seasons, the Cans are 10-1 versus the Isles in the last 11 meetings and 5-1 in the last 6 at home. I like that dominance to continue tonight in a multi goal victory.

Pittsburg Penguins -1.5 +158

Well the Canucks are no longer winless as they beat the Kraken last night 5-4. Awaiting them tonight for the back end of their B2B is a rested Penguins squad that has had 2 days off. I think the Canucks will come to realize that beating the Penguins and Kraken are 2 very different things. The Kraken are limited talent wise on the offensive end while the Penguins have 3 future Hall of Famers (Crosby, Malkin & Letang) in their lineup. The Penguins have won 4 of the last 5 matchups with the Canucks and all 4 were by multiple goals. Even though the Canucks got their first win doesn't mean they've turned the corner, I like the Penguins by a couple tonight.
