San Diego Padres -0.5 +137
Tonight is G2 of the NL Championship series between the Phillies and Padres. The Padres backs are up against the wall as they do not want to head to Philly down 2-0; it will be A. Nola versus B. Snell on the mound. Nola has been lights out in his playoff starts while Snell was excellent in one and not so much in the other. Snell has been excellent for the most part this season his first 2 times through the opposing lineup before as it gets dicey after that. That is why I will back the Padres in the first 5 and not have to worry about the late innings.
St Louis Blues -1.5 +189
The Blues are in Seattle to face the Kraken; expectations are definitely higher this season for Seattle as their inaugural season was one to forget. Their goaltending wasn’t very good and neither was their defensive, unfortunately for them this season hasn’t started any better, the tandem of P. Grubauer and M. Jones has been average at best 4 games in. In their 3 losses the Kraken gave up 5 goals in each game and I don’t foresee things being any easier for them tonight versus the Blues. I like the Blues by multiple goals.
Winnipeg Jets/Colorado Avalanche O6.5 -111
The Jets and Avalanche go at it tonight at Ball Arena in Colorado; it will be C. Helleybuck versus A. Georgiev in goal. The Avs are 3-0 to the over this season as every one of the Avs games has been high scoring, mainly due to their defensive that isn’t as strong as last season, What helps the Avs is that they can still put the puck in the back of the net which makes up for some of their defensive liabilities. The Jets and Avs have a history of high scoring games in Colorado as the over is 4-1 in the last 5 games there, I like them to make it 5 of the last 6.
