Tonight is opening night for the NBA season and we have a game between what will probably be 2 of the stronger teams in the Eastern Conference. The 76ers visit the Celtics in a game where they’re 3 point underdogs. The 76ers added some really nice pieces to their roster during the offseason in M. Harrell, D. Melton and PJ. Tucker while the Celtics had to deal with all the drama with involving their coach I. Udoka. Games this early in the season are a toss-up as and I really like the advantage the 76ers have at center with J. Embiid over the A. Horford, Horford is now 36 years old and I don’t believe he matches up well versus an MVP candidate in Embiid.

Nashville Predators -1.5 +173

The LA Kings visit the Predators tonight in Nashville; the Kings are in a similar position as the Wild were last night. The Kings have not been playing well defensively and that has resulted in poor goaltending results from J. Quick & C. Petersen. The Kings have not surrendered less than 4 goals in any of their 4 games this season and even if their record is 2-2, they won’t score over 4 goals a consistent basis. Tonight the Kings will be on a B2B and 3rd in 4 nights so I like the Preds to take this game by 2 or more goals.

Ottawa Senators -1.5 +204

The Bruins are on a B2B and 3rd in 4 nights as they visit the Senators coming off an emotional 5-3 victory over the Florida Panthers last night. The Bruins are scheduled to go with J. Swayman in goal and he really hasn’t played really well on the road in his short career to date. The Senators added some really nice pieces during the off season in A. DeBrincat & veteran C. Giroux, so expectations are high for the Sens, however, their Achilles heel is still the defensive core. The Sens are 0-2 but think they’re in a good position tonight to get their first win of this season, and I like it to be by multiple goals.
