If yesterday proved anything in the baseball playoffs, it was that “just because you need to win a game, doesn’t mean you will”, case in point for the Braves, Mariners and Dodgers. Tonight the Yankees are in the same boat as those 3 teams, after the Guardians rallied for a 3 run 9th in a 6-5 victory. The Yanks are on the brink of elimination versus a team where the talent & salary gap are disparaging. On the mound it will be G1 starters G. Cole and C. Quantrill facing off again, the Yanks took that game 4-1; however, now we have different conditions, the Yanks are behind the 8 ball and must win. The Guardians are riding high on emotions after an extra inning win and a big 9th inning rally and like them to end the Yankees season.

Miami Dolphins +140

The Dolphins (3-2) host the Vikings (4-1) today in a game where teams seem to be headed in opposite directions, the Vikings have won 3 straight while the Dolphins have lost 2 straight. The Dolphins losses can be chalked up to injuries as both Tua and T. Bridgewater were knocked out of games due to concussions. Today Bridgewater is returning and I think we’re giving the Vikings too much credit as road favorites. K. Cousins has not played well and the Vikings do not have a good run defense surrendering 120 yards per game. I like the Dolphins to get a win at home versus a slightly overrated Vikings team.

New York Jets/Green Bay Packers U45 -106

The Packers (3-2) host the Jets (3-2) at Lambeau Field today. I would say that it is an understatement that A. Rodgers is missing D. Adams right now. The new deal his signed this off season more or less killed any chances the Packers had in trying to have Adams return. With Adams gone and Rodgers lack of faith in his young wide receivers the Packers are no longer the offensive threat they’ve been in past seasons. For the Jets Z. Wilson has not looked great in his 2 starts since returning from injury and has to go on the road and play one of the best defenses in the league from a numbers perspective. I just don’t see a lot of points being scored today.
