The O's look to avoid being swept by the Rangers tonight as they send D. Kremer to the mound versus N. Eovaldi. Eovaldi looked great versus the Rays in G2 of the Wild Card series while Kremer might have been the O's best pitcher down the stretch with a 6-1 record and a 2.60 ERA over his last 7 starts. Without a doubt the Rangers have looked like the better team through the first 2 games but the O's are a good team and with their back against the wall, I say they come out with a win. Add to that, the fact that since the O's called up A. Rutschman last season they have never lost 3 straight games. Give me the O's a plus money here.

Houston Astros +113

Tonight is a pivotal G3 between the Astros and Twins, it will be C. Javier versus S. Gray on the mound. This should be a great game as we have Javier who's been excellent for the Astros in the postseason since 2020 with a 4-1 record and a 2.20 ERA while Gray has been even better with a 1.38 ERA over his last 7 starts. The one issue with Gray and the Twins has been their inability to win games for him. Their record in those 7 starts was 3-4, showing that their bats can easily go silent. We don't get the Astros often as a dog and I will back them here.

Pittsburgh Penguins -.5 -147 (regulation)

What a way to start the C. Bedard era in the NHL with his first game versus S. Crosby and the Pittsburgh Penguins. Let's face it, the only reason to watch the Hawks this season will be to see how good Bedard can really be, the rest of the roster isn't anything special and the will probably be in the basement of the standings all season. The Penguins acquired defenseman E. Karlsson in the offseason for basically nothing substantial off their roster and that is a significant upgrade for them as their power play should be explosive this season. Even if it's opening night, the Penguins should have no issue getting by the Hawks in regulation.
