The Blues visit the Bruins tonight at TD Garden; the Blues come into this game losers of 6 straight while the Bruins had their 7 game win streak snapped by the Leafs on Saturday night. This is a matchup between teams that has been dominated by the road team; the road is 5-1 in the last 6 meetings and for some reason the Blues clearly like playing at TD Garden winning 4 of the last 5 games there. The Blues are going through a rough stretch without a doubt, but are a better team than their record indicates. I will back them at this nice price in a setting where they have excelled.

The Flames are in Long Island to visit the Islanders tonight. Again we have a matchup of teams going in opposite direction; the Flames have lost 4 straight while the Isles had their 5 game winning streak snapped by the Red Wings. The Flames have been scoring goals during their losing streak which is a good sign, so if they can shore up the defense and goaltending, the W’s will start coming around. The Isles are not the most offensive team even though they have been scoring quite a bit of late; regression is probably in the cards very soon. The Flames have won 4 straight versus the Isles and all 4 were by multiple goals, I like them to get back on the winning track

New Orleans Saints +105

The Ravens (5-3) visit the Bayou and the Saints (3-5) tonight for a MNF matchup. As yesterday proved, and many other Sundays before that, backing road favorites to cover or win games is never easy. The Bills, Raiders & Packers lost straight up while the Vikings, Dolphins & Chargers either barely covered or didn’t cover depending on which line you got. Both teams are dealing with several injuries to key players on both sides of the ball and this game could go either way. I will back the Saints here as the Ravens have had issues holding leads all season and winning on the road in the NFL is never easy.
