The Kings visit the Blackhawks tonight in Chicago; the Hawks are currently on a 4 game losing streak and are starting to look like the team many predicted before the season started. Their goaltending is starting to falter as they’ve surrendered 3 or more goals in every game during the losing streak and when their offense doesn’t come to play like it did last game versus the Islanders it will get ugly real quick for them. The Kings are a team that has no issues putting the puck in the back of the net on a nightly basis as they’ve scored 3 or more goals in 8 of their last 10 games. I like them to continue that trend in a multiple goal victory.

New York Rangers -1.5 +189

The hottest team in the NHL, the Boston Bruins (9-1) visit the Rangers at MSG. The Bruins are winners of 6 straight while the Rangers have won 3 straight. The Bruins needed a massive comeback in their last game versus the Penguins after falling behind 5-2. They will not have that kind of wiggle room versus a team like the Rangers that is better defensively and in goal. The injury list is also getting longer game by game for the Bruins as they lost defenseman D. Forbort (20 mins/game) and RW C. Smith (13 mins/game) in the last 2 and were already missing quality players in D. Krejci and C. McAvoy. I think the Bruins are little to shorthanded tonight and their winning streak will end.

OKC Thunder +6.5 -106

The Thunder hosts the Nuggets tonight and looks to keep their winning streak going for a 5th straight victory. It’s been quite some time (years) since the Thunder has won 4 straight. The Canadian tandem of SGA & L. Dort has been carrying the Thunder to this point and they have also gotten nice contributions from Aussie J. Giddey & Serbian A. Pokusevski. OKC has an International delight going on right now that added with their American talent is surprising opposing teams on a nightly basis. OKC is 6-1 ATS this season and continue to keep games close even when they lose. I like them to keep this game close and it wouldn’t surprise me if they win this game straight up. For those who like to get frisky can look to play the ML at +210 which increases the payout to +2237.
