The Bruins host the Hurricanes this afternoon in a matchup of 2 of the stronger teams in the league. However, with that being said the Canes have not looked like a good team of late losing 4 straight with the only solace being that 3 of the losses where in OT. The Bruins had their 7 game win streak snapped last time out versus the Panthers, but I like them to get back on the winning track today in a series that has been dominated by the home side. The home team has won the last 7 meetings with 6 of the wins by multiple goals. I like the Bruins here by a couple.
Montreal Canadiens +103
The Habs are in Chicago to face the Blackhawks this afternoon, the Habs are the clearly the better of the 2 teams right now, the Hawks have lost 5 straight and 8 of 10 and haven’t looked good at all in the process. The Hawks are a disaster on the defensive end and in goal having surrendered 3 or more goals in every game during the losing streak and can’t see any reason why the Habs shouldn’t be able to do the same today. The Habs should be able to contain the Hawks anemic offense and take this game on the road.
Anaheim Ducks +129
The Ducks host the Senators this afternoon in a matchup between 2 teams that haven’t performed well. This line makes absolutely no sense to me, as bad as the Ducks have been and trust me, they’ve been very bad, I’m not ready to make the Sens a favorite on the road when their road record is 1-6-1, and the Ducks have been horrible this season and still are 4-4 on home ice. The Ducks still have talented players in T. Zegras & T. Terry which can go toe to toe with the Senators stars. I will back the Ducks to surprise the Sens this afternoon.
