New Jersey Devils -1.5 +173

The Devils are in Ottawa to face the Senators this afternoon, to say the Devils are hot (no pun intended) is an understatement as they’ve won 11 straight and not take on the Senators who are struggling mightily. They’ve only won 2 of their last 10 games with the victories coming versus the Sabres (lost 7 straight) and the Flyers (lost 5 straight), so the 2 of 10 is even worse than you’d think. I don’t think there is a need to overthink things here this afternoon; the Devils are better than the Sens in every measurable category except power play, so I like them to continue this winning streak with a multiple goal victory.

Calgary Flames/Florida Panthers O6 -111

The Panthers host the Flames this afternoon. Today is a matchup of two teams that have really disappointed so far this season, with close to .500 records for both. The Panthers are nowhere close to what they accomplished last season while the Flames have regressed equally as much. The main culprit for both sides is goaltending, neither J. Markstrom nor S. Bobrovsky has been good for their respective clubs. I can see a high scoring game this afternoon as both goalies have a GAA of 3.00, as bad as the Panthers have been, they do still score a lot of goals on home ice and the Flames have the talent to score 3-4 a night. We should reach at least 7 goals here today.

Minnesota TWolves -3 -105

The TWolves are in Philly to face the 76ers tonight. I think the TWolves are catching the 76ers in a perfect letdown spot. The 76ers are on a B2B after a big home win over the Bucks and can see them coming out flat versus a well-rested TWolves team that hasn’t played in 2 days. If T. Harris is missing again tonight, I do not think the 76ers will have enough offense to go toe to toe with KAT, A. Edwards and D. Russell. I think R. Gobert will be able to contain J.Embiid in the paint, forcing the 76ers perimeter players to try and beat them. I like the Wolves to cover the number.
