LA Kings -1.5 +215

The Kings close out their west coast Canadian road trip tonight with a visit to Vancouver to play the Canucks; the first game didn’t start well with a 6-5 loss to the Flames but then followed that up with a shutdown effort versus the Oilers in a 3-1 victory. Tonight it’s the struggling Canucks and lately the only they win games is by outscoring their opponent, their last 3 wins have been 5-4 Sabres, 6-4 Sens & 8-5 Ducks. Clearly if they aren’t a ton of goals or playing teams that struggle they lose. If the Kings were able to shutdown McDavid & Draisaitl on Wednesday I can definitely see them shutting down the Canucks tonight. Kings win by a couple.

Houston Rockets +5 -106

The Pacers (7-6) visit the Rockets (3-12) in Houston tonight. The Pacers have surprised many this season so far at 7-6 as they were picked to be at the bottom of the standings by many prognosticators before the season started. T. Halliburton was a huge pickup for them at last season’s trade deadline and drafting D. Mathurin in the 1st round of the draft has propelled them so far this season. However, with that being said I’m not sure if they warrant being 5 point road favorites even versus the young Houston Rockets. The Rockets are off a nice road win versus the Mavs and yes Luka didn’t play, but a road win is hard to come by versus any team in the NBA. If a young team is going to surprise anyone it will be on their home court, I like the Rockets to keep this game close and maybe even upset the Pacers.

Texas A&M -5.5 -114

The Texas A&M Aggies will face the Colorado Buffaloes in the Myrtle Beach Invitational this afternoon. Buzz Williams and the Aggies are off an embarrassing loss to the Murray St Racers 88-79 as a 13.5 point favorite. The Buff are also off a lose 66-63 to UMass where there were 6 point favorites. The only positive that can come from the Aggies loss yesterday was that the game was relatively close considering how poorly they shoot the ball 38% on FG and 22% from 3PT. The Aggies are clearly better than they performance yesterday and these type of things happen early on in a season, I like Coach Williams to right the ship and the Aggies to take this game today.
