Houston Rockets +9 -106

The Rockets face the Mavs tonight in Dallas. The Mavs will be on a B2B after almost blowing a 22 point halftime lead versus the Clips in a 103-101 win. The Mavs have been burning their backers money of late going 1-8-1 ATS in their last 10, blowing big leads in several games. It is clear that Luka is a great player; unfortunately the Mavs will never be good enough to take the next step when S. Dinwiddie, D.Finney-Smith and T. Hardaway Jr are options 2, 3 & 4. The Rockets continue to lose games (2-12) however, have a decent ATS record at 7-7 considering how young they are. I like the Rockets to keep this one close and I can see the Mavs playing down to the level of competition.

St Louis Blues -1.5 +163

The Blues winners of 3 straight visit the Blackhawks tonight in Chicago. The Blackhawks on their end have lost 7 of their last 9 win one their wins versus the just as bad Anaheim Ducks. The Blues have really cleaned up their game since losing 8 straight, they have real nice quality wins on their current 3 game road trip versus the Knights and Avalanche and look to finish it undefeated tonight versus Chicago. The Blackhawks continue to allow too many shots on goals, averaging close to 36 shots against a game and I like the Blues to take advantage of that to score several goals tonight.

Edmonton Oilers -1.5 +168

The Kings visit the Oilers tonight in Edmonton; this will be G2 of the Kings 4 game road trip, G1 didn’t go well for the Kings as they came up short in a 6-5 loss to the Flames. This will be the Oilers first game back from their own 4 game road trip that saw them go 2-2. It looks like the Oilers will be going with S. Skinner in consecutive games to give J.Campbell more time to clear his head; Campbell has underperformed since day one of the season. Starting Skinner is a positive at this point and I like the Oilers to get the job done versus the Kings that have had issues winning games in Edmonton (4-11 last 15 meetings), with several losses by multiple goals.
