The Canucks and Leafs go at it tonight at the Scotiabank Arena. The Leafs will be on a B2B after not looking great versus the Penguins last night in a 4-2 loss. Even though the Canucks have looked better of late winning 4 of their last 7, they’ve needed to outscore teams to get those victories, as they’ve surrendered 4 goals or more in 6 of those 7 games. That isn’t a recipe for success versus a team as offensively talented as the Leafs. The Leafs have totally dominated this matchup on home ice winning 11 of 12 meetings and I expect it to continue tonight.

New York Rangers -1.5 +189

The Rangers visit the Predators tonight in Nashville. The Rangers will be on the front end of a B2B as they will host the Coyotes tomorrow night at MSG. The Rangers are off a big win 8-2 versus the Wings where their offensive finally exploded. The Preds just can’t seem to get things going for an extended period of time, and their goaltending has been the main culprit, J. Saros has a 3.46 GAA and a .892 save percentage. That just won’t get it done on a nightly basis in the NHL. This matchup between these teams has been dominated by the road side 6-0 in the last 6 meetings, the last time a home team won a game was back in 2018 when the Preds prevailed. I will back the Rangers who’ve been more consistent so far this season.

Atlanta Hawks/Philadelphia 76ers U221.5 -106

The Hawks (8-4) visit the 76ers (5-7) tonight in Philly for the back end of a home and home. These two teams just played each other 2 days ago with the Hawks coming out victorious 104-95. The Sixers are a team that plays to the pace of their opponent; they will run and gun with teams like the Jazz. Bucks most recently but will also slow it down versus teams like the Hawks and Knicks. When these two teams play each other scoring has not been plentiful, the last 5 games in Philly have gone under and the last 8 games overall have gone under as well. Even being on the road I think the Hawks with try and slow down the pace and like thus game to go under the total.
