The Penguins and Leafs go at it tonight at the Scotiabank Arena. The Penguins finally snapped their 7 game skid last time out with a 4-1 victory over the injury riddled Caps, goalie C. DeSmith was very solid and the Penguins will ride him again as opposed to going back with the #1 goalie T. Jarry. The Leafs are of a 4-3 OT loss to the Knights but had won their 3 games prior to that. The Leafs don’t lose often on home ice as they’re 5-1-1 so the question becomes can they win this game by multiple goals. The Penguins will find out tonight that defending the Leafs with Mathews, Marner & Tavares is a lot more difficult that a shorthanded Caps teams, Leafs win by a couple here.

Seattle Kraken +103

The Wild and Kraken face off tonight in Seattle. The Wild will be playing their 3rd game in 4 nights on the road while the Kraken are well rested having not played in 2 days. The Kraken are 2-0 so far this season when playing with 2 days’ rest. The Kraken come into this game winners of 5 straight beating quality teams in the Wild, Flames & Penguins twice. They’ve been playing much better in season 2 after their inaugural season went very poorly. The Wild have won 6 of their last 10 however, 5 of those wins were versus very weak teams in the Ducks, Habs twice, Hawks & Canucks. I like the Kraken here as a small home dog to get the job done.

OKC Thunder +170

The Raptors (7-5) visit the OKC Thunder tonight. The Raptors come into this game looking to build off their 109-100 victory over the Rockers while the Thunder try to snap a 4 game skid. The Raps have been very beatable in the road this season as their 2-4 record indicates. The Raps were already missing P. Siakam and now have to deal with missing a quality bench player in P. Achiuwa who averages 9 ppg and 7 rebounds. I like the SGA and the rest of the Thunder young players to give the Raptors all they can handle on the road and win this game as a nice home dog.
