Nashville Predators +159

The Preds are in Colorado to face Avalanche tonight. The Avs will be playing their first game back since returning from Finland as they played 2 games versus the Blue Jackets. As I mentioned in a write in October concerning the Preds and Sharks when they returned from the Czech Republic, long distance travel like that in a short period play havoc with the body. The Preds lost 5 straight upon their return and the Sharks lost 3 straight. Yes the Avs are a better team than the Preds and Sharks but I still expect them to be tired and possibly lethargic their first game back. I like the Preds as a big dog.

St Louis Blues -1.5 +157

The Blues host the Sharks at Enterprise Center tonight. One of these 2 teams will be breaking a losing streak tonight, as both have been terrible of late, the Sharks have lost 4 straight while the Blues have lost 8 straight. Goaltending has been an issue on both sides as the Sharks have given up 3 or more goals in 6 straight while the Blues have done it in every game during the 8 game streak. Like I mentioned in my write up for the Pens, the Blues are too good of a team to be this bad for this long, I expect them to take out some frustrations on the Sharks tonight and win big.

Atlanta Falcons -145

The TNF has the Falcons (4-5) and Panthers (2-7) going at it tonight, the NFL should honestly be embarrassed at some of the games they put in prime time slots on Thursdays. Apart from gambling on a game like this, there isn’t much interest for people to watch if you aren’t from Atlanta or Carolina. With that being said, the Panthers are a train wreck right now. They’re very limited on the offensive side of the ball with PJ. Walker or B. Mayfield at QB; besides DJ. Moore at WR there isn’t much at wideout and are starting journeyman RB D. Foreman. The Falcons at least have weapons for M. Mariota in K. Pitts, D. London and C. Patterson and their defense has played well in several games this season. I don’t like taking road favorites especially on a short week, but the Panthers aren’t very good so I will back the Falcons on the ML.
