Two teams on winning streaks faceoff tonight in the Canes and Rangers, the Canes are winners of 3 straight while the Rangers have won 5 straight. The Canes have been a little disappointing to this point at 6-4 overall but clearly are heading in the right direction right now as their goaltending has been better of late. The Canes are one of the better teams in the league and you rarely ever get them at this type of price, I see a lot of value here tonight.

The Red Wings host the Panthers tonight, the Red Wings continue to play well as their core of young players lead the way. Tonight veteran goalie J. Reimer gets the nod and he's been great to start the season with 1.68 GAA and a .940 save percentage. The Panthers are likely to counter with S. Bobrovsky (2.87 GAA & .903 save percentage) who's been ok but nothing special. The Red Wings are playing a better game at the moment and I will back them here as a small home dog.

Tampa Bay Lightning/Columbus Blue Jackets O6.5 -125

The Bolts and Jackets go at it tonight in a game between 2 teams that are struggling to start the season. The Bolts are only 4-2-3 while the Jackets sit at 3-4-2 and have lost 4 straight. The Bolts are starting backup M. Tomkins who didn't play well in his only start this season giving up 4 goals, the Jackets counter with E. Merzlikins who's giving up 3 goals a game with regularity. Both teams have enough on the offensive end to easily be able to get to 3 goals each in the game making the over a no brainer of a play.
