Seattle Mariners/Houston Astros O8.5 -108

The Mariners & Astros meet in G2 of this series, we had a low scoring affair yesterday in an Astros 3-0 victory. I expect more runs today as we have C. Flexen who’s sporting an ERA around 4 on the road this season and was around that same number last season. C. Javier has a nice ERA to start the season but is only making his 2nd start of the season as he started the season out of the bullpen. We have a big over umpire behind the plate tonight in CB Bucknor, the lowest total of runs scored through 4 games for him is 8. I like both teams to get theirs tonight and this game to go over.

Toronto Blue Jays -1.5 +167

The Jays host the Yankees in G2 of this series. We have A. Manoah pitching versus J. Taillon, these two faced each other on April 11 at Yankee stadium in a 3-0 victory for the Jays. In Manoah’s young career he has faced the Yanks on 3 occasions and has given up only 3 earned runs in 17 and 2/3 innings pitched which equates to an ERA of 1.52 and the Jays have won all 3 starts by 2 runs or more. I would say that Manoah has the Yankees number for the time being, I like to Jays to even the series at 1 game a piece with a win by 2 runs or more.

Miami Marlins -1.5 +112

The Marlins host the DBacks tonight, the Marlins look to even the series at 1 game apiece. The Marlins were down 5-0 before stagging a late comeback but fell short in a 5-4 loss. The Marlins have T. Rogers starting tonight and after a rough start to the season, he’s starting to look like the T. Rogers of last season (ERA 2.71) in his last 2 starts. The DBacks are not the toughest lineup to slow down and don’t think Rogers will have that much difficulty in accomplishing that tonight. I like the Marlins by 2 or more here.

Calgary Flames -1.5 +117

The Flames host the Stars in G1 of their round 1 matchup. I think the Stars will be in trouble in this series as their lack of scoring will hurt them versus the high-flying Flames. We also have one of the best home teams in the NHL versus a team that had a losing record on the road during the regular season. You normally expect tight games in the NHL playoffs, but last night proved otherwise as only 1 of the 4 games finished by 1 goal. I expect the Flames to continue that trend tonight and win big.
