The Dbacks start a series with the Rockies this afternoon when R. Nelson takes on K. Kauffmann. Kauffmann has had absolutely zero success in his first 2 MLB giving up 9 ER in less than 9 innings pitched will probably run into the same issue tonight versus a Dbacks team that has been solid offensively this season. For the Dbacks, Nelson has been getting better over his last 4 starts sporting an ERA of 3.00 and putting the Dbacks in a position to win 3 of the 4. I like the Dbacks by mutiple runs tonight.
Atlanta Braves -1.5 -147
The Braves head to the west coast to face the A's. The Braves continue to do their thing by winning games and dominating the NL East. The A's continue to do their thing as well and that is lose games and be the worst team in the majors at 10-45. Tonight the Braves welcome back M. Soroka to the mound as he's dealt with serious Achilles injuries over the last 2 plus seasons. I expect the Braves to ease Soroka back into the starter role, even with all this time off he should be able to take advantage of this weak A's lineup and lead the Braves to a multiple run victory.
Los Angeles Angels/Chicago White Sox U9 -116
The Angels are in Chicago to face the White Sox tonight, it will be G. Canning versus M. Kopech on the mound. Both starters have pitched very well over their last 2 starts, Canning 3 ER in 12+ innings with Kopech at 0 ER over his last 15 innings. I see that success carrying over for both tonight as the opposing lineups have definitely not been tearing the cover off the ball. I think this number of 9 is too high for tonight's game.
