Tampa Bay Rays/ Baltimore Orioles U9 -118

The Rays and Orioles play G2 of this 3 game series, the Orioles have won 2 straight in walk off fashion after beating the Rays on a R. Odor 2 run homerun in the 13th inning last night. Tonight we have J. Springs versus K. Bradish, Springs has pitched exceptionally well this season, however, will probably be capped between 3-4 innings as the Rays continue to use the bullpen strategy. Bradish seems to yoyo in his starts, pitches well one game and then not so great the next, well last game he didn’t pitch well so we should expect a good one tonight. Plus umpire A. Fletcher is behind the dish tonight and the under is 6-0 this season when he’s calling balls and strike. The under is the play here.

New York Mets -121 G1

The Mets and Rockies are playing a doubleheader today to make up for the game last night that was postponed. The Mets are off to a great start this season as they’re getting contributions from all their free agents signings from the offseason as well as bounce back seasons from F. Lindor and P. Alonso. This afternoon it will be C. Carrasco versus G. Marquez, Marquez has not been good at all this season, outside of his first start of the season he has not given up less than 3 runs in any start, plus his WHIP of 1.53 will just not get it done. I like the Mets to take G1 of this twin bill.

Pittsburgh Pirates +123

The Pirates host the Cards tonight; the Cards have called up lefty M. Liberatore to make a spot start, the Pirates counter with veteran J. Quintana. Quintana is having a comeback season, bringing back memories of his successful years with the White Sox. Quintana has not given up more than 3 earned runs in any start this season and I think he can keep the Cards batters in check. Liberatore has an ERA of around 4.00 in Triple AAA so he will probably have a tougher time versus big league hitters. I like the Pirates here.

Milwaukee Brewers -1.5 -103

This is G2 of this 3 game series, last night the Brewers blank the Nats 7-0. Tonight we have a big miss match on the mound when P. Corbin takes on B. Woodruff. I understand that Woodruff has not been great to start the season, but the Nats are the type of lineup that can get Woodruff back on the right track. Outside of J. Soto there isn’t much to fear with the Nats, yes N. Cruz & J. Bell can hurt you but I think Woodruff will be able to neutralize them. Corbin continues to struggle with his ERA over 6; the Brewers shouldn’t have trouble winning this by multiple runs.
